Impacts on the World

With such a well-known franchise and a rather large fanbase, it is no wonder that Star Wars has made a pretty big impact on society. From its views on war and uprisings to its fashion, there is a lot of ground to cover when you want to know more about Star Wars and its influence. Take a look at some of the articles we have found below:

Impacts in the Film Industry

The widespread jolt of inspiration Star Wars has brought to the film-making industry alone is remarkable. The box office essentially exploded when the newest cinematic masterpiece came out with all-new special effects and loads of jobs. The saga may still grow and continue to expand, but the outcomes it has brought to the film industry are sure to continue. For now, though, look through the change it's brought so far:

Franchise Marketing

The Star Wars franchise is incredibly widespread. So much so that TV shows and movies even reference the iconic film saga. Did you know the spread of the original Star Wars movie was done via word-of-mouth? Oh yeah, George Lucas didn't really want to go one way or another with marketing the movie because he didn't want to make it seem it was made for any one particular age group. This worked entirely, and arguably, it's worked so well that nowadays it can be marketed in almost any way and no one really gives it a second thought as to what "group" the saga is meant for.

From chip brands like Frito-Lay to role-playing games to that one guy who has been making Star Wars toy designs for 40 years, there's no way that the fanbase of the Star Wars franchise will slow down. One of the most frequent and largest factors in marketing is when George Lucas made his deal with Disney. The Disney culture is already very massive and on par with the Star Wars fanbase, so tying the two together made pretty logical sense. This deal has been so beneficial that there is now a full section in Disney's Hollywood Studios dedicated to Star Wars, and they even added a Star Wars-themed hotel to the mix.

The whole lifespan of the collective marketing and branding techniques has left many people in awe. There has even been a case study to go over branding and marketing strategies with a qualitative approach. Not to worry; we've linked it HERE for your viewing pleasure.

Behind the Scenes

It's no secret that the Star Wars saga is one of the larger forces behind the development of special effects in cinema. From the (then) advanced tech to the mind-blowing graphics, everyone wanted and continues to want to know more about how it was done and how it's improved over the years. The interest in behind-the-scenes doesn't just stop at the technology used; people and fans want to know more about the process and the people involved, too, with varying opinions of how people love and hate what has been done. Take a look at some of these behind-the-scenes looks and information that may enhance your Star Wars experience:
